Josie Rush, affectionately known as the "Pound Cake Lady," is a ​testament to the adage that it's never too late to follow your dreams. At ​the age of 74, she turned her lifelong passion for baking into a thriving ​business, specializing in pound cakes that are reminiscent of the ones ​your grandma used to make.

Born and raised in a family where baking was a cherished tradition, Josie ​learned the art of making pound cakes from her mother and ​grandmother. These family favorite recipes, steeped in love and history, ​became the cornerstone of her business. Although she had always ​dreamed of starting her own baking venture, life took her in different ​directions. However, the desire to share her culinary creations never ​waned.

In her seventies, Josie decided to take the plunge and started her own ​business, "The Pound Cake Pantry." Her cakes quickly gained a loyal ​following, not just for their delicious taste, but for the nostalgia and ​warmth they evoked. Each cake is a celebration of tradition, family, and ​the joy of sharing something homemade.
